Variables
Western Meadowlark
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual
precipitation of 218-683 mm and little or no true fir - hemlock montane
forest. Somewhat less likely in moister hexagons (683-1511 mm
annual precipitation), with July maximum temperature (hex. max.) of
27-33 C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with barren, Douglas-fir - w. hemlock - red cedar forest,
true fir - mountain hemlock montane forest, the extent of public land,
April precipitation (hex. med.), May maximum temperature (hex.
max.), and-to a lesser degree-big sagebrush shrubland.
